Fish breath

Well, Dippy now has a dermatologist. Her eyes got a lot worse and she was scratching at her face until it was raw so I took her in. We spent a week on all kinds of medication (antibiotics, steriods, etc) to get things under control and we are on a special diet. Fish and potato. Nothing else. No rawhides, no greenies, nothing. Fish. Potato. She seems pretty happy with it but she's obviously bored. And I have to steam fish on a regular basis which I don't love, but what are you going to do? This will last 8-10 weeks so we're in it for a while. If this doesn't stop it then we have $300 blood tests to see what she's allergic to. Then allergy shots to fix it. Personally, I think at least part of it was the carpet we just got rid of. One of the worst parts is that it will be over her Birthday so the party snacks are off. One less thing for Mommy to do!

Speaking of that, Dippy's finally getting used to the hard floors. She was really tentative at first because it was so slippery but now she will chase and be chased arond the pantry as before. She has also discovered that the tennis ball will bounce in the house and this has become the new favorite game. She's really cute but she's also obviously happier on the carpet when she can be.

That's about all the news for now. Almost 11 months!

Sharon
